What MathHub itself collects
No account, no sign-up, no personal details. You can read every page on this site without identifying yourself. There is no login, and nothing here asks for your name, school, or date of birth.
If you email me, I have your email address and whatever you wrote in the message. I keep it in my mailbox so I can reply and so I remember what was already fixed. I do not add it to a mailing list and I do not pass it to anyone.
Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages get read. It tells me things like "the AP Calculus chain rule chapter was opened 200 times last week" — not who opened it. Google sets cookies to do this and processes the data on my behalf. Google's own explanation of how it handles data from sites that use its services is at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
You can block it for every site at once with Google's official Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Advertising
MathHub carries advertising through Google AdSense, which is how the site pays for itself. What that means in practice:
- Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site.
- Google's use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.
- You can turn off personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings. Ads do not disappear; they stop being tailored to you.
- To opt out of personalised advertising from other vendors too, see aboutads.info/choices or youronlinechoices.com.
Third-party vendors other than Google may also place cookies when their ads are served. I do not control which of those appear, and I do not receive the data they collect.
Hosting and logs
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes the request itself — your IP address, browser, and the page you asked for — to deliver the page and to block abuse. Cloudflare's privacy policy is at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
Links to exam boards
MathHub does not host exam papers. Links to past papers open on the exam board's own website — Oxford's Mathematical Institute, UAT UK, Cambridge International, Pearson, AQA, OCR, the Korea Institute for Curriculum and Evaluation, EBS, and the Korean Mathematical Society. Once you follow one of those links you are on their site, under their privacy policy, not this one.
Children
Much of this site is read by secondary-school students, which is the point of it. MathHub does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, of any age — there is no form, no account, and nothing that asks who you are. If you believe a child has sent me personal information by email and you would like it deleted, write to the address above and I will delete it.
Your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site's pages will still work. If you have emailed me and want that correspondence deleted, ask and I will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date below changes with it. Substantive changes will be noted here rather than made quietly.
